Georgia Papathanasiou (Ms.) is a social scientist with 20 years of professional experience, primarily in project management. More specifically, she has 12 years of experience in managing EU-funded projects related to institutional, socio-economic development and social cohesion, 3,5 years of experience in financial monitoring of EU-funded research projects in the security sector and 6 years of experience in the NGO (humanitarian) sector, where she was involved in the preparation of winning proposals addressed to the EU, UNHCR, and UNICEF. Georgia joined the Hellenic Olympic Committee in 2021. Currently she is managing the EU Office running projects related to gender equality, sustainability, social cohesion, and athletes’ dual career.
