Course description

This 0.3 ECTS micro-credential  moves from the core concepts —what conditioning is and how the body responds to training— to a practical, evidence-based tour of each physical capacity, closing with what today’s science and health guidelines actually recommend. It combines concise theory with mandatory video resources, self-check questions, an interactive mini-lab and a final assessment. Passing the final quiz earns the micro-credential, issued and quality-assured by Sport Academy. Ideal for students of sport science and physical education, fitness and personal-training professionals, coaches, and anyone who wants solid, current foundations of physical conditioning. You will learn to
  • Tell physical activity, exercise and sport apart, and locate the motor capacities within them.
  • Explain adaptation to training: supercompensation, internal vs external load, and the training principles.
  • Describe endurance, strength, speed and flexibility —their types, manifestations and conditioning factors.
  • Read current health recommendations and recent scientific updates with a critical eye.
