The
4me4all online course is part of a European initiative aimed at improving the
physical and mental well-being of institutionalised minors through sport-based mentorship and education. Recognising the powerful influence of athletes as role models, the course prepares participants to take on an active role in supporting vulnerable children.
The programme explores a wide range of topics related to the realities faced by institutionalised children, including:
- The social, emotional, and health challenges associated with institutional care
- The impact of these challenges on physical and mental well-being
- The importance of healthy lifestyles and positive habits
- The role of sport and mentorship in promoting inclusion, confidence, and resilience
Participants will also learn how to:
- Act as effective mentors and positive role models
- Build trusting and supportive relationships with young people
- Promote healthy behaviours and wellbeing practices
- Apply good practices and intervention strategies in real-life contexts
The course combines awareness-raising with practical guidance, ensuring that athletes are well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to the
4me4all mentorship programme.
By the end of the course, learners will have the skills and understanding needed to support institutionalised children and help improve their
quality of life and long-term development.
