Course description

The Green Campus online course is a key educational resource aimed at supporting higher education institutions in implementing sustainable, active, and health-oriented campus strategies. It provides participants with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate eco-friendly practices into everyday campus life and extend their impact beyond university boundaries. Throughout the course, learners will explore:
  • The relationship between sustainability, health, and education
  • Strategies to promote active lifestyles and environmental awareness on campus
  • Practical initiatives for implementing eco-friendly and sustainable practices
  • Effective ways to communicate sustainability strategies to maximise impact
  • Guidance on applying for the Green Campus Label
The course combines theory with real-world examples and best practices, enabling participants to design and implement initiatives that engage students, staff, and the surrounding community. It highlights the role of universities as key actors in shaping sustainable behaviours and healthier societies. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to lead and support sustainability initiatives on campus, fostering long-term cultural and behavioural change. Funded by the European Union.
