Cross-cultural Training Programme for Sport Coaches

This course explores cross-cultural sports leadership, examining how culture influences coaching practices and interactions with athletes and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. Coaches will gain insights into key cultural concepts, enhance their Cultural Intelligence (CQ), and develop strategies for effective cross-cultural leadership and communication. By combining theory with practice, the module equips coaches with the knowledge and skills to manage multicultural teams and promote an inclusive environment.

Course description

This training programme will be in a blended format, with most of the content available online for learners to access and complete at their own pace. Additionally, there will be an in-person course conducted by an instructor (Urgun) on April 5th and April 9th, 2025, at London South Bank University in the UK. For those unable to attend in person, the researcher (DU) will provide these sessions online in real time on April 16th and April 19th including both the asynchronous and synchronous components. The course schedules will be confirmed on the website, and you will also receive a notification via email.
