Thiago Santos is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at the University of Porto, Portugal. His research interests are: consumer behaviour, service quality and social responsibility in the sports context. In 2014, He was awarded by the Portuguese Olympic Committee for the most relevant scientific research in the field of sport management.

The Sport Go Green advanced course is dedicated to educating sports stakeholders in-depth on sustainability problems and the implementation of strategies in sports organisations to reduce their activities' carbon footprint, energy expenditure and waste. The course will provide sports managers with a holistic learning experience on environmental sustainability related to sports activities and sports events, including carbon footprint measurement using the Sport Go Green app.
