Charlotte GIRARD-FABRE

Charlotte Girard-Fabre is an international sports official and gender equality advocate with more than 20 years of experience in high-performance sport. A former elite ice hockey referee, she officiated six World Championships and served as a lineswoman at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics, including the 2018 Olympic final. She later transitioned to handball refereeing and continues to contribute to officiating development globally. Charlotte currently serves as Secretary General of the International Federation for Sports Officials (IFSO) and Chair of the Advisory Council of the Council of Europe’s Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS). She is also President of the French Association of Multisport Referees (AFCAM) and a board member of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee. A committed activist for gender equality in sport, she works to improve the representation, working conditions, and visibility of women in officiating, and regularly mentors young girls entering the profession.
