Description du cours

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a sharp increase in the number of players on the Zwift online platform. This trend coincided with a widely conducted analysis of data on the use of gaming in the promotion of sports. Polish Cycling Federation decided to implement a similar mechanism and use it to promote sport among young people. The aim of the project is to investigate the correlation between traditional cycling and virtual cycling.
In addition, it is planned to implement the Zwift platform as a tool to increase public participation in cycling in partner countries, as well as to create comprehensive instruction addressed to cycling federations and sports clubs in order to increase public participation in traditional cycling.
The expected effects include increasing the participation of young people in cycling at the federation, district and club level, overcoming economic and communication barriers among people interested in cycling, developing attractive forms of communication with young people and creating new forms of cycling promotion.
The DigiCycle online course is dedicated to raising awareness of the potential of gaming for the promotion of sports.
