The
Sport Go Green online course, developed as part of the
Green FLAME Erasmus+ project, is structured into two progressive levels: a
basic introductory course and an
advanced course designed for more experienced learners and professionals.
The advanced course offers a comprehensive and practical learning experience, covering key areas such as:
- Sustainable management in sports organisations
- Implementation of green procurement strategies and environmentally responsible policies
- Methods to measure, monitor, and reduce carbon emissions
- Energy efficiency and waste management in sports facilities and events
- Community engagement and the promotion of sustainable behaviours among sports audiences
Participants will gain in-depth insights into the main sustainability challenges affecting sports organisations, with a strong focus on implementing practical strategies to minimise carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste generation across both day-to-day operations and large-scale sporting events.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools required to design and implement effective
sustainability strategies in sport management and events, aligned with international standards and best practice.
