Course description

The Athletes Speakers online course provides a comprehensive learning experience focused on improving the communication skills of athletes at all stages of their careers. As athletes increasingly take on roles as ambassadors, role models, and public figures, the ability to communicate effectively has become essential. This course offers a structured series of video lessons and practical materials covering key aspects of communication, including:
  • Public speaking and presentation techniques
  • Storytelling skills to effectively share personal and sporting experiences
  • Non-verbal communication, including body language and presence
  • Use of clear, impactful, and audience-focused language
  • Techniques to build confidence and authenticity when speaking in public
Participants will learn how to communicate their message with clarity and impact, whether in media interviews, public events, or professional settings. The course also supports athletes in strengthening their personal identity and voice, helping them connect more effectively with fans, sponsors, and wider communities. By the end of the course, participants will be better prepared to act as confident speakers and ambassadors, enhancing both their sporting careers and future professional opportunities.
