Cross-cultural Training Programme for Sport Coaches
This course explores cross-cultural sports leadership, examining how culture influences coaching practices and interactions with athletes and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. Coaches will gain insights into key cultural concepts, enhance their Cultural Intelligence (CQ), and develop strategies for effective cross-cultural leadership and communication. By combining theory with practice, the module equips coaches with the knowledge and skills to manage multicultural teams and promote an inclusive environment.

This course is part of a doctoral research project and will be delivered in a blended format, incorporating both online (asynchronous) and in-person (synchronous) learning. Most of the course content will be available online, allowing learners to access and complete it at their own pace. After completing the online sessions, an in-person workshop will be conducted by instructor (Urgun) on April 5th and April 9th, 2025, at London South Bank University, UK.
For those unable to attend the in-person workshop, instructor (Urgun) will conduct these sessions online in real-time on April 16th, April 19th, and April 20th. The course schedule will be confirmed on the website, and you will also receive a notification via email.
